Nanaimo Homeschooling Events & Gatherings
NCHL's Events
NCHL is an active homeschool group that gets together in varying combinations regularly. Our members gather for skating, swimming, skiing, field trips, educational adventures, and fun excursions & events. A wide variety of events are organized by member families and posted on the members-only email list. We also gather together on the first Thursday of each month to swap advice and meet new friends.

Heidi and Tabitha are hosting a get-together at the north end of town for those new to homeschooling. Please RSVP to Heidi (250-758-4465) if you are interested in attending. This event will only be held if there is enough interest, so please let us know if you will be attending.

For all parents and/or children interested in learning more about the Speach/Drama possibilites in the musical festival (held in spring). Arlene will share what's involved in the festival, how to get involved and a few tips for gaining confidence in your selection and performance. |

Guest Speaker Jacki Knight will be speaking about Math and Unit Studies in the Monarch Room (details here)
Got a math resource that you love? Have a unit study that's spectacular? We'd love to see it/hear about it - bring any math resources/materials or unit studies that are inspiring your family.
The Free Table will be open, so bring anything homeschooling or family related that you'd like to give away and be sure to take a peek to see if there's anything you might be able to use (please remember that if you bring something that nobody else take home, it is still yours). |

Homeschool Choir

For anyone interested in participating in the Choir at the Christmas concert in December. No experience necessary! The kids will practice several songs in preparation for the Christmas Concert and it will run September, October and November. If your child is interested, just have them come in September to sign up. This is always a fun event and much loved by many children and their families |
